Extra! Extra! (June)
Vol. 3; Issue 5.5
It’s mid-June at The Whole Utopianotes Catalog! Enter this never-never land of grants, fellowships, fully-funded writer & artist residencies, submissions calls, open reading periods, jobs, fairy godmothers, sexy sirens, talking cats & more. There is something here for you. There is more than enough for everyone.
This week I was thinking about the meaning of utopianotes, a term I coined in my second book — utopianotes (n.): an ongoing, participatory record of things that, according to the laws of capital and conquest, shouldn’t have been able to happen or exist, but did anyway, if only for a moment. The catalog exists in the same spirit — here is more than you ever thought was possible, a voluminous, imperfect, ephemeral, and unexpected discount bin of real possibilities and pathways, with no promises but for the fact that, as the great Beth Pickens says, your art will save your life.
ALL Fellowships, Grants & Prizes are FREE this issue. The rest is for paid subscribers only: Artists and Writer Residencies, Calls for Submission & Open Reading Periods, Jobs & more. Sign up and don’t ever miss an opportunity. Paid subscribers get:
Two (2) massive opportunity lists each month (early- and mid-month)
Access to exclusive chats & tutorials
One 30-minute complimentary consultation (for annual subscriptions
